The AI and your uses

It is included

Profesia provides the AI: it is Claude, by Anthropic, and it is included in your plan. You need no key or account anywhere else. On the Free plan you have 30 uses a month as soon as you connect your campus.

What a use is

Grading a submission with the AI costs 1 use, or 2 if it is long or the AI reasons a lot. Exams and conversations with the assistant cost several. What you have spent is always in “AI used this month”.

What the AI sees of your students

Before anything goes to the AI, the names and emails on your class list are replaced by pseudonyms. If someone signs with a nickname inside the text of their submission, that is not replaced. You can see the exact text that was sent in Settings > Privacy.

A course without AI

Mark the course “No AI” and nothing from it goes to the AI. You keep grading by hand as always.

Where to see what you have used

In “AI used this month”, in Billing, and on the Dashboard, which tells you how many uses you have left.

If the uses run out

You can keep grading by hand; uses renew on the 1st. If you need them sooner, look at the plans in your account.
